01.02.2024 - The ORCA Group expands in the gearing technology business field
The L. Schaible GmbH & Co. KG based in VS-Schwenningen will take over the operations of the Grimm AG on 01.02.2024. All 170 employees, the entire production know-how, all production facilities and the existing customer relationships will be taken over at the production site Gosheim.
Both companies are medium-sized gear technology companies with a very similar range of parts and customers. The Grimm AG had been in a difficult economic and financial situation for some time, but has managed to maintain production and continue supplying all customers in recent months in a so-called "self-administration procedure". A big thank you goes to the trustee, attorney Alexander Kästle from the law firm Hirt & Teufel, the general representative, attorney Dr. Thorsten Schleich and Mr. Markus Baier from the consulting firm Zwei-B, who laid the foundation for a sustainable restructuring of the company during this time with great foresight and accompanied the takeover process benevolently and with great commitment.
Customers and employees have also made it possible to continue and realign the company by remaining loyal to the company during the M&A process. All employees of the Grimm AG have now been transferred to L. Schaible GmbH & Co. KG as of 01.02.2024. We welcome the new employees to the ORCA Group and look forward to a good working relationship in all areas.
Our aim is to continue to supply all customers of the Grimm AG with the usual quality and reliability after the merger and we would like to thank them already now for their loyalty and trust in the ORCA Group. The takeover expands the customer spectrum of L. Schaible GmbH & Co. KG and opens up additional fields of application in gearing technology. The bundling of expertise and the transfer of know-how in the various manufacturing processes offers a great opportunity. Important growth potential lies in the optimization and further development of complex components and assemblies as well as their assembly in coordination with customers.
Currently, our main task is the strategic integration of the new "Gosheim plant" into the ORCA Group. This will enable us to utilize and further develop the excellent technical capabilities and expertise of our employees in the long term.
Of course, there are still some challenges to overcome. We will tackle these with great confidence and look forward to the continued active cooperation of all those involved.
The management
